Physical description
Flounce of Sol needle lace with a border of bobbin lace. Worked with a needle on a foundation of large squares of drawn thread work. The design of wheels or of rayed suns, each set within a square frame, is arranged in three horizontal rows. The two outer narrower rows contain a series of identical wheels, each 2.75 inches in diameter. The central row contains alternately single large wheels, 4.5 inches in diameter, and vertical lines of two half and one whole wheels. Attached to the lower edge is a border of single bobbin lace of the torchon type.
