A Convenção da IOLI-International Organization Of Lace Inc. tem um Display Room onde seus associados podem expor suas coleções, a renda que está fazendo, sua eventual pesquisa na área e quejandos.Este ano, na 63º Convenção realizada entre 17 e 23 de Julho último em Indianápolis, USA, co-patrocinada pela associação de rendeiras local, Lafayette Lacemakers, o PROJETO RENDA SOL da n/associação NHANDUTI DE ATIBAIA levou um pouco da renda que esteve estudando, resgatando e tecendo nos últimos 9 (nove anos).
A repercussão foi ótima, vindo de encontro aos nossos objetivos de promoção e incentivo desta que alguns pesquisadores entendem ser, por excelência, a renda da América e que se encontra em quase total esquecimento.
Diversas vezes nossos ouvidos foram contemplados com comentários elogiosos ao nosso trabalho mas, mais importante, várias vezes ouvimos que teríamos conseguido alterar o entendimento sobre a RENDA TENERIFE ou RENDA SOL, demonstrando que a técnica pode ser bem mais do que um artesanato.
